Emma Kennedy is an American artist currently working in Penzance, England. She received her BFA in Painting from the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) in 2015 and apprenticed under the realist painter Hyeseung Marriage-Song from 2012-2014. She is currently working towards her MA in Painting from the Slade School of Fine Art in London.

Her work aims to explore the complexity of human relationships through the depiction of her own abstracted personal narratives that combine reality, fantasy, and a deep appreciation for the history of painting. She works primarily in oil paint and draws from memory, art history, and Western religious imagery to create her compositions that aspire to function as their own sacred spaces.
